Throwback Thursday: 18 Weeks

IMG_5717.JPG

I seriously can’t believe Owen is almost seven months old. Where has the time gone? Before I know it, I’ll be planning his first birthday party!

This photo was taken just over a year ago, when I was about 18 weeks pregnant. I look at this photo, and I just can’t believe I was ever that tiny. And I can’t believe Owen was that tiny!! Now, he’s 19 lbs. and my arms hurt when I carry him for too long!

I miss pregnancy. I felt so gorgeous! And growing a life is just the coolest experience! I really can’t wait to experience it all over again.

Throwback: Rockin’ Denim Before Britney & Katy

IMG_5163.JPG

This week’s throwback is dedicated to denim. Sweet, sweet denim. One of the best fabrics around, and so darn versatile! It really hit its high mark in the 90s.

This photo is of me, at age 3, rockin’ a denim hat and denim dress. Now, I didn’t dress myself at this age, so this photo is really a testament to my mom’s coolness. She had to be just plain awesome to dress me like that, right?!

Love it!

Throwback: Storytime

IMG_5156.JPG

This week, I wanted to share one of my all time favorite photos from my childhood. In this photo, I’m reading a book to my little sister at our grandma and grandpa’s house. I’m not sure how old we are here, but I remember that day like it was yesterday. We’re best friends to this day! If we were to ever re-take a childhood photo (as is the current trend), this is the photo I’d want to use!

Throwback: Grandpa and Some Sweet Shades

IMG_5047.JPG

This week’s throwback goes out to my amazing grandpa. The world lost this awesome man back in March of 2004. He was one of my favorite people in the whole world. The thought of my son never knowing him brings tears to my eyes. I miss him so much.

But when I see pictures like this one, I can’t help but laugh. I’m reminded of how funny and sweet and just plain silly he was! He used to do Goofy’s and Donald’s voices to make us laugh. He loved playing Super Mario. And he loved his girls more than life itself.
